With Natural England, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust & The Environment Agency’s guardianship there are acreages of lush carbon-capturing salt marshes, a 2000-strong resident rare grey seal colony, wild flowering dunes, marshes and meadows, huge migrating & resident bird populations, World War Two defences including a hospital, pill boxes & prisoner of war camps and a fully operational Ministry of Defence live firing target range with top gun pilots flying billion-dollar aircraft.
