Listen to the River’s Porcupine Guard Hair makes realistic abdomens for nymphs, emergers and spinners.
Available in Grades #1 and #3
Grade #1 is suitable for sizes 8 to 14 hooks
Grade #3 is suitable for sizes 12 to 18 hooks
Tie in Porcupine Guard Hair (PGH) with about 2 cm of the tan part extending from the hook shank. The PGH will now have the taper towards the creamy coloured butt end. Wind on with touching turns up the hook shank for a quick and realistic abdomen.
Tying Tip: Dampen the underbody or thread wraps with varnish for extra weld. Coat the finished PGH abdomen with a light coating of varnish for extra durability.
