Steve Thornton has been 'on and off' a passionate flyfisher & flytyer for over 30 years during his photographic career.

Known around the world as a flytyer of original patterns designed to 'match the hatch' of our wonderful fast-flowing trout streams. Having demonstrated flytying at many of the world's most prestigious fly fishing shows and has written many articles for most of the worldwide flyfishing press.

Steve has written and published 5 flyfishing and flytying books so far, which include Volumes 1 & 2 of Listen to the River. Volume 3 of Listen to the River is in production. See below.. And 3 Volumes of Flytyers of the World.

Steve also designed new flytying materials including Nymph Skin. Also, the creator of famous patterns such as; The Ammonite Nymph and the CAM Emerger. Steve was also the original founder of the British Flyfair and Virtual Nymph Flytying Products.
